I just had one of those days. Work? Busy. Commute? Two hours … in the rain … and it was dark. This is the time of year when daylight is at a premium, the weather outside is frightful, the holidays are in full swing and it’s easy to let meal planning fall to the wayside. As much as I love to cook, sometimes it’s great to have a quick, delicious meal on hand. Tonight I appreciated the convenience of ShopRite Imported Handmade Woodfired Pizza. It’s frozen, so I can keep a stack in our freezer. They taste good enough to be worthy of my favorite bottle of Pinot Noir. Plus, I get dinner on the table in 15 minutes, which is great when you’re soaking wet, the dogs need to be walked, and you’re an hour late getting home.
The appearance? Just like one of my homemade pizzas. As a matter of fact, if I threw the box in the recycle bin fast enough, I could probably convince my husband that I made this pizza from scratch.
The taste? Great! I baked it a few extra minutes to get that extra crispy crust. I chose the Four Cheese pizza and there are several other varieties including Margherita and Goat Cheese.
Pizza is my favorite food in the world. My husband and I agreed that ShopRite imported pizzas are a quality product, so I’ll keep them on hand for occasions like this. Not only are they tasty, but they’re about half the cost of take-out and because they’re frozen they require no advance planning. That’s exactly what I need after a long day.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: As a POTLUCKTM blogger, I received the ShopRite Imported Pizza from ShopRite for free.
