Last month, I was chosen to try ShopRite’s new Special Edition Flatbreads and new Stoned Wheat Crackers. The ShopRite Special Edition Flatbreads come in both Rosemary and Whole Grain varieties. These savory flatbreads are delicious alone or paired with dips. The ShopRite Special Edition Stoned Wheat Crackers are available in original and mini sizes. Originally baked in Canada from an old prairie recipe, these cracked wheat squares have been a cocktail party staple for years. They complement many varieties of cheese or meat spreads with a pleasantly toasty, crunchy undertone and just a spark of salt.
Whether you are having friends over for drinks, a romantic evening in or prepping for an Oscar-viewing party, these crackers help you create the perfect snack. To test the new crackers I decided to make a Kalamata Olive and Cheese Dip. This dip is ideal for entertaining because it is ready in minutes and requires ingredients you most likely already have in your pantry and refrigerator.
For the Kalamata Olive and Cheese Dip you will need:
- 8 oz package of cream cheese
- 1/2 cup of kalamata olives (with some olive juice)
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1/2 lemon fresh squeezed juice
- finely chopped red onion for garnish
Combine cream cheese, kalamata olives, garlic olives and lemon in a food processor. Blend quickly until smooth. Serve in a bowl and garnish with finely chopped red onion. Serve with the NEW ShopRite Special Edition Flatbreads and the NEW Shoprite Special Edition Stoned Wheat Crackers.
Entertaining at your home doesn’t have to be complicated. By pairing a great dip, like this Kalamata Olive and Cheese Dip, with the quality special edition crackers from ShopRite you can create a tasty, fresh appetizer to serve to your guests. The special edition flatbreads and stoned wheat crackers have great flavor and are versatile enough for other dips and pairings or even on their own. Heading out to ShopRite to plan the perfect evening at home? These special edition crackers from ShopRite should definitely be on your shopping list.
