Not so fast. Summer is not over just yet! I’m just as excited as everyone else for fall but we still have to goodbye to summer.
So, we are going to say goodbye with a classic summer treat — lemonade. One of my favorite drinks to sip all summer long. I jazzed it up buy adding fresh, and local, blueberries and a few sprigs of mint. It gave the lemonade a delicious fruity and slightly minty taste.
Blueberry Mint Lemonade:
2 1/2 lemons – juiced
1/2 lemon – sliced
1/4 cup blueberries
10 mint leaves
1/4 cup sugar – you can add more if you like your lemonade sweeter
In a quart mason jar add fresh lemon juice, sugar, mint, 6 ice cubes and water (just fill to the almost top). Screw on top and shake until combined, add sliced lemons and blueberries.
