ShopRite Special Edition Flatbreads For Easy Appetizers And Snacks

Kayris - Salmon and Flatbreads THUMBNAIL

When my husband’s doctor recommended an anti-inflammatory diet to ease the symptoms of a back injury, he started eating a lot of salmon.  In addition to lean protein, salmon is high is omega-3 fatty acids and helps in the treatment of arthritis and other inflammatory conditions.  He eats a lot of it!

Last week he asked if we had any crackers, and I was happy to point him to the boxes of ShopRite Special Edition Flatbreads that I had just received.  They come in both Rosemary and Whole Grain varieties.  Flavorful without being overpowering, they are delicious on their own or with dips or with toppings.

My husband chose to eat the Whole Grain variety topped with smoked salmon, cold asparagus and a dab of Greek yogurt cream cheese to hold it all together.  He said the crunchiness paired nicely with the textures of the fish, cheese and asparagus, and the seasoning was balanced well, so the other ingredients weren’t overshadowed.

I’ve enjoyed them with hummus and spinach dips, or just to munch on between meals as a snack.  So much better than an ordinary cracker, and healthful enough to fit into our lifestyle.

The salmon and asparagus dish was so easy, yet fancy enough to serve as an appetizer.  I’ll definitely be picking up more for our next party.
